Trés Heureux Anniversaire George par Fanny Walters !
Publié le 25 Juin 2013
Ce que j’ai pu constater c’est que George Michael est resté le même, avec cette sensibilité qui fait de lui un artiste si unique.
Every day, music brings softness, a memory, or an emotion, to our lives ... There is always a melody, artists, who invite themselves into your destiny...
We never forget our “first times”, those that leave a sweet scent of completeness as we make our way in life, and that bring a happy moment from the past into our daily lives.
How could I forget my first George Michael concert at Bercy in May 1988? Or his first French television appearance, as a solo artist, when he was just 21 years old? And so many other memories, whether related or not, that will stay with me forever!
What I have seen is that George Michael remains unchanged, with that sensitivity that makes him such a unique artist.
On 4 October 2011, Paris Symphonica reminded me of the one and only MTV Unplugged of October 1996. The only memorable difference being that George Michael appeared before more than 12,000 people at Bercy. A pure moment of grace that life sometimes offers us, one that could change everything overnight... I also treasure the memory of the Royal Opera House in London, with an unusual and exquisite public!
The only successful photographs I’ve taken since his 25Live and Symphonica tours are those of Symphonica Marseille, on 28 September, 2011 at the Silo, a great little concert hall with an amazing audience.
A big thank you to everyone who helped me on the book (they know who they are ...) and all those who have "George Michael Unique" on their bookshelves. The second book is on its way; sometimes it takes an immense amount of time to build a project.
And most importantly, I wish George Michael, born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou on 25 June 1963, a very happy birthday and many more wonderful moments ahead... Juste garder la Foi !
Thanks for all beautiful memories….
Fanny Walters
