Happy Birthday dear dear George, may God bless you, love you, XXX !!!

MONICA.jpeg"I have a lot of memories about George, especially moments related to his concerts, but I have one of it that is the best day in my life....my meeting with him!
I had the chance to meet my beloved George on 26 February 2009,on my birthday.

I went to London, the city that I love, 'cause show it to my husband,he had never been there, but I also wanted to try to meet George at least once in my life.

I arrived outside his home at 16:30,on the day of my birthday.I arrived in London on the evening of 24,do not ask me why I didn't go outside his home on 24,I had a strange feeling, a little voice inside me telling me to go there only the day of my birthday ...
I recognized the house from the pictures I saw on the
forums and on the newspapers.
I spotted his car and there was no doubt,it was his house ..
I was on the other side of the street to avoid creating too much trouble,I was a little ashamed of the doorbell, it's filled with cameras and as we know the discrete nature of George ....
At 17h, a black car pulled up and parked next to the car George. The driver came out and went in George's house...
... I began to tremble ... I was sweating, my heart is packed and I tried to think of what I wanted to tell George, but I focused more my head emptied, a real blank page, I thought of NOTHING, I felt that my heart ....
I told my hubby Roberto to prepare the camera while I was preparing my book and my pen ...
I could not cross the street because the bodyguards were ready to stop me ... at that moment, HE,MY LOVE,GEORGE opened the door ...He appeared, in simple jeans and hooded sweater with two cans in hand...
I said to Roberto "here he is", I was already on the other side of the street, there was nothing more for me, no more bodyguards, nothing and no one, just me in front of him, hoping he would not leave immediately.
He looked at me, smiled and apologized "Sorry, I'm late." I told him "please George, just a moment, it's my birthday," he changed his expression, he approached me and said, "really ? Your birthday? "HE, TO ME!! coeur2
He stopped, took the pen and the book I handed him and began to write.
Meanwhile the nightmare I feared came true and I heard the words that no one wants to hear in those moments, Roberto said "nooooooooooon, the batteries are discharged .... "I changed the battery in the morning, bought in a shop in London ... George did not understand what was said Roberto, and seeing that he was preparing to take a picture of us at the same time I was in shock after the sentence Roberto, George put his arm around me and wonderful approached me...almost to embrace me ...I was in Paradise....I just wanted this moment last forever...
I was aware of when I put my arm around him, I touched his sweatshirt ..
The picture is not output, George left. I just have two pictures with him that Roberto has made one minute before all that... but the story is not over yet because when he was leaving, Roberto said, "look, the camera works again"
George had already reached to his car, he stopped, returned to me,gave his arm around me AGAIN! I almost died, but still no picture, what a pity ...
I thanked him and he left, I was shaking like a leaf......
It has been the happiest moment of my life, but I regret not having had time to tell him all the things that came to my mind after that.
I will not use more the pen with which he wrote...and of course, I changed my camera."
a word that symbolizes George for me is a definition: THE STILL POINT OF MY LIFE,MY LIFELINE.
"Happy 50 Birthday George, you are and will be the light in my life, thank you for what you have given to me in these years,I love you"

corinna.JPGFirstly, I would like to thank you for your regular updates on George via Twitter. coeur2

It’s been essential to us fans over recent days / weeks / months.

I’ve attached my favourite photo of GM, taken at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

It was taken at the postponed Symphonica date at RAH due to his horrible illness so makes it extra special for me.

It’s hard to describe such a beautiful and talented man in just one word, but I’ll say “GIFT”

Best regards

elisa.jpgMy story as GM lovely started when I was just a little child and in those years George Michael was already a massive star.

I really can not remember why I became so close to his music since my early childhood…

George and his amazing voice have been part of my life every single day in the last 25 years, so it is very hard to choose only one memory…

For sure, the strongest and, maybe, my best memory is the show in Vienna (4th September 2012), my first George Michael’s show and his first Symphonica show after the life-threatening illness, due to we have been so worried about his health.

I was with a friend of mine and other 14000 people, I suppose, listening the fabulous Symphonica Orchestra playing when, suddenly, the lights turned off and the show started about one hour earlier than we expected. coeur2

I remember that I was thinking: “OH-MY-GOD!!” and then something like: “Ok, maybe I will collapse in the next few seconds…”.

His voice was the strongest and, at the same time, the more harmonious voice I have ever heard, and I was completely raptured by him and all the show..

The last unforgettable moment of that night was George’s smile at the end, he seemed to be really happy and grateful. The only problem was that two hours went too fast and leaving us the idea to have lived in a dream (LOL), something out of the world...

I will keep all those fantastic memories of that night in the deepest part of my heart and every time I think about them my heart shiver again, as the first time. I really hope to have the opportunity  to live such a great moments with him again in the future.

I can only thank GM for every single note and every single word of his songs and I wish him all the best for the next 50 years, full of health and full of love (and full of great music for us, If he wants!).

Adjective: ASTONISHED

tnMy most vivid memory of George was switching on Top of the Pops the week that Careless Whisper went to No1 in the charts.
I was mesmerized by this gorgeous man and his amazing voice.
When I hear the song today I still remember that feeling all those years ago.
I have been very lucky to have been at 3 of his concerts and he really is one of the most talented singer /songwriters of all time.
He will always be my idol.
George - one word for you - UNIQUE!

cassandra.JPGThe Symphonica-Show on Sept 4th in Vienna was the first concert ever for me seeing my favourite singer George Michael finally live on stage.

You can imagine how excited I was... and it was overwhelming!

But lets start from the beginning: first of all it was such an honor (a pleasure) to meet some members of the George Michael Forums in flesh. They all were so lovely people – well, there´s a reason why George Michael calls his Fans „lovelies“...

The City Hall was big, the stage was covered in red curtain and so were the seats.

People were coming into the Hall from every side. Next to me there was a guy who started talking with me about George Michael and he couldn´t believe that I knew so many facts he didn´t know. To be honest: Would I be a big fan if I wouldn´t know his birthday or the year when his solo-career started? He also couldn´t believe that I recognised George´s father from far away.

Come on...

The audience was clapping after every single song before the show began.

At 8.26pm the lights went out, the stage glittered and the sound started. There was a big shadow behind the curtain – it was George himself standing on stage, still covered with the red sparkling curtain and began singing „Through“, one of his most soulful songs. His voice was incredibly clear and at the end of his song I had tears in my eyes. The curtain opened and I was so thankful just seeing him live on stage and listening to his gorgeous voice. The next songs were as emotional as the first one.

After one hour there was a little break and I went down to ask for an autograph of Jack Panayiotou. He was so kind taking pictures with some lovelies and giving me my third autograph from the George Michael Team.  As it is so hard to get George´s autograph, at least I have one of his father! I`ve bought an autograph book for my „George Michael coeur2Experience“ and guess who were the first who signed in there? It were Shirley and Lucy, the two GM-Background-Singers whom I met one day before the show. They were so sweet and charming and talked to my friend and me during their break from rehearsals.

During the break there was a big digital clock projected on the red curtain. It was counting backwards. I got back to my seat again and waited for the second half of the show. My heartbeat was constantly on a high level. Then the lights went out once again and he started to sing „Waiting For That Day“. Such a lovely voice. And again tears in my eyes. Then I saw a lot of people goint to the front. After the first song I stood up and went to the front too just as he began singing „Patience“. Unfortunately the security pushed us back to the mixing-table. And there we stood watching the stage from behind.

After „Russian Roulette“ the first tones of „Praying For Time“ were played and everybody stormed to the front – me too! And I was so glad standing in the first row and watching him so big in front of me. Everybody could see his joy when he saw how many people were standing in front of the stage. I think he is much more comfortable when his fans are in front of the stage. After „Praying For Time“ he mentioned the doctors, thanked them for what they did and played „Feeling Good“. Another moment with tears in my eyes.

After that, he went down from the stage and everybody was screaming for an encore. It was bloody loud! After a few minutes he came back on stage and performed a wonderful medley of „Amazing“, „I´m Your Man“ and „Freedom `90“. His Background-Singers came to front of the stage as well and waved to the audience. It really was Amazing. The last encore was „White Light“. One more time he thanked the doctors who saved his life just 10 months before and one could really say that it was such an emotional show for him playing for his lifesavers.

After „White Light“ the final intro came and the lights went on. That was the unmistakeble sign for the end of this gorgeous first Symphonica-Show in Vienna.

It was one of my best days ever!

THANK YOU GEORGE!!!

TWITTER.pngOk, favourite George memory:

When George phoned me at work on 17th July 2012.

I was lucky enough to win a competition on Heart radio where George phoned and spoke to me at work live on the radio and gave me tickets to his Symphonica show on 17th October 2012. I couldn’t believe my luck, I sobbed down the phone to him so much I could barely breath let alone speak to him! All I remember was screaming down the phone to him saying ‘George Michael has just said my name!!’ It was the most amazing feeling! I really couldn’t believe that I was talking to my idol on the phone, I was in complete shock and I was on such a high for months afterwards! Later that day I tweeted him saying: ‘I SPOKE TO MY GORGEOUS GEORGE EARLIER!! I can’t believe it, so shocked and I FEEL LIKE THE LUCKIEST GIRL ALIVE! ;-)’

I really couldn’t believe it when he re-tweeted my tweet and replied with: ‘It was nice to speak  to you too Kelly……’ (I’ve attached a photo of the tweet!)

That day was like a dream, I truly felt like the luckiest girl alive!

HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY GEORGE! Have a wonderful day, I hope you get very spoilt, sending all of my love and BIG kisses on your special day! Love you lots and lots!

Kelly
